I dont recommend using mods that add locations ,change animations ,or add quests or alter behavior. ![]() the only mods i use that need skse are skyui and dynavision, all of the other mods i use are texture replacers and some cool swords, maybe some other stuff like COT, the only problems i've really encountered are those i made myself by messing with the game You can install skse and still install mods that dont require it. It does so without modifying the executable files on disk, so there are no permanent side effects. ![]() On top of that, all my stealth characters are deadly marksman, so I added the bow too. The Skyrim Script Extender, or SKSE for short, is a modder's resource that expands the scripting capabilities of Skyrim. This mod came about when I wanted to play a dual-dagger wielding stealth character, and realized, hey I'm missing out on the advantages of a silver sword. ![]() Thanks to: Paul Connelly (scruggsywuggsy the ferret), gibbed, Purple Lunchbox, snakster Skse has absolutely no effect on mods that do not use it or the base game, with skse installed to initiate it you use the skse_loader.exe, this in turn initiates tesv.exe, the game starts steam still needs to be running first, it really does not affect the game itself, it allows modders greater access to the games engine to make their mods within the game engine.
